Logoo serves brand logos through CDN-style URLs. Request any company logo by domain and get back an optimized image.
Logo serving accepts requests from trusted origins (via Origin/Referer) or any caller with a valid API key (la_*). See Authentication for headers and error responses.

URL patterns

The canonical pattern is GET /v1/:domain where :domain is any company domain. Variant, format, and theme travel in the query string.
The older path-style forms — GET /v1/stripe.com/icon.png and GET /v1/stripe.com/theme/dark/icon.webp — still work and return a 301 redirect to the equivalent query-param URL above. Update bookmarks and caches to the canonical form when convenient.
Requests to the bare domain (https://api.logoo.useora.co/stripe.com) also 301 to /v1/stripe.com for backwards compatibility.

Variants

Three logo variants are available: When no variant is specified (e.g., GET /v1/stripe.com), the icon variant is used.

Formats

When no format is specified, logos are served as WebP.
The path format (e.g., /v1/stripe.com/icon.png) determines which source to look up first. The format query parameter determines the output format. If the exact source isn’t available, Logoo falls back through: WebP, AVIF, PNG, JPG, SVG.

Dark mode

Many brands have alternate logo versions for dark backgrounds. Logoo supports serving them via path or query parameter.

By brand name

The /v1/name/:brand endpoint fetches a logo by company name instead of domain:
Logoo resolves the name to a domain using its brand search index, then serves the logo through the same pipeline. This endpoint always serves the icon variant.

Fallbacks

When a logo isn’t found in storage, Logoo generates a deterministic SVG monogram:
  • Extracts the first letter from the domain name
  • Picks a consistent color from a 16-color palette (hashed from the domain)
  • Renders a 128x128 rounded rectangle with the letter centered in white
The same domain always produces the same monogram. To return a 404 instead:
When a logo is missing, Logoo also triggers auto-discovery in the background (if enabled). Stored logos are cached for 24 hours; monogram fallbacks are cached for 1 hour so the discovered logo replaces them sooner.

Request flow

1

Domain normalization

The domain is lowercased and cleaned. If it’s an alias (e.g., icloud.com), it resolves to the primary brand domain (apple.com).
2

Storage lookup

Tries the requested format first, then falls back through WebP, AVIF, PNG, JPG, SVG.
3

Image processing

Applies query parameters: size, format conversion, greyscale, retina scaling.
4

Response

Serves with Cache-Control: public, max-age=86400 (24h). If no logo exists, returns a monogram and triggers AI discovery.
